About the Authors and Illustrator

Authors, Jennie DeFelice and Jennifer Landry, are a mother and daughter team who for years merely talked about writing children's books. Both are educators with numerous years of teaching experience. Their dream has been to write enjoyable children's stories with moral lessons. Their knowledge of children's love for animal stories was the key to making French poodles the main characters in their series of children's books. The fact that Jennifer had a French poodle of her own helped make the stories come to life.

 

Illustrator, Bonnie DeFelice, has painted most of her adult life. She had always painted for her own enjoyment and has given many of her paintings to family members and friends. Bonnie never imagined she could meet the challenge of illustrating children's books. With delight, she completely immersed herself into the story and its characters.

 

Bonnie is Jennifer's aunt and Jennie's sister-in-law.
